When Restorative Practices are implemented faithfully, accountability has equal importance to support. People who have caused harm must accept responsibility and take specific steps to make things right. Students and adults report that going through a restorative process as a Responsible Party feels much more difficult than punishment alone. They also report that they learn strategies to avoid causing harm in the future, and they feel more connected to their communities after. Traditional punishment rarely provides learning opportunities, and often leads to feelings of exclusion.

Since Restorative Practice are flexible, so are we! We don’t have a set program that facilitators deliver. Instead, we design our services to meet each individual client’s needs. Furthermore, we use an experiential approach based on curiosity, strengths, and dignity, which leaves participants feeling energized and motivated at the end of a session.
