Introduction to Restorative Practices

Learn the principles of Restorative Practices and how to begin implementing them in your school or community.

In this Introduction to Restorative Practices (RP), which have evolved from Restorative Justice (RJ), you will learn the theory behind these practices, why and when they are effective, and how to begin implementing them in your communities. Attending this workshop will enable you to begin utilizing these effective practices, increasing the access to and availability of RP in your unique setting.

In this Restorative Practices training, you will:

  • Understand the paradigm-shifting principles and values of Restorative Practices

  • Learn to facilitate effective Circles to address the needs of your particular group

  • Learn practices for addressing behavior in your school or classroom

  • Get support in implementing Restorative Practices in your community, school or workplace

This workshop is aimed at, teachers, administrators, community members and anyone interested in creating positive change in their school or community. The format will allow participants to practice skills between sessions, and facilitators will be available to answer questions and provide support via email.

Pricing: $400 Supporter Rate  / $350 Regular Rate  / $200 Equity Rate 

Supporter Rate - This rate is for those with institutional funding or historical access to wealth. It pays for yourself and makes it possible for us to offer this work to those who may not otherwise be able to participate.
Regular Rate - This is the standard rate for our workshops, that makes our work possible. 
Equity Rate - This rate is for those who would not be able to participate at the regular rate due to systemic inequity.
